PRAYER REQUESTS Christian submitted June 30, 2008 I am actually
asking for a planca to be sent from you. I
know this is an odd reverse request, as it should be the other way around,
but God has compled me to write to my fellow Cursillisitas. My God Son's son, Christian is in
the hospital with leukemia and fighting for his life. Christain is 6 years old and has had five surgeries in
the past two weeks. His parents and grandparents could really use your
prayer support, could you please send a palanca
from your team? It would only take a moment. I pray that
you are blessed by God and many graces
are received. I thank you in advance. De Colores Nash Khatter submitted May 6, 2008 Nash
and I continue to be overwhelmed with the prayers, thoughts, and wonderful
well wishes from our Cursillo
community. Nash completed his first round of chemo therapy last
week and other than a bit of nausea and fatigue the treatment went
fairly well. Nash did have his PET scan, but unfortunately it
has to be redone this week due to technical error. Nash
has returned to work part time and hopes to go back to full time (on his none
chemo weeks) soon. Know that you are in our hearts and prayers and we
feel your prayers surrounding us, even though we are not as good at giving
updates as we should be.

Nash Khatter submitted April 21, 2008 Nash and I are overwhelmed with the outpouring of love and support from our brothers and sisters in Christ throughout our Cursillo community. Nash commented today that he has felt all the prayers that have been lifted up on his behalf and they bring him such comfort during this time in our lives. As
many of you know Nash had surgery to remove a cancerous growth in his colon
approximately one month ago. Nash is getting stronger each day and is
back seeing patients part time. Next week he
begins a multitude of appointments which will prepare us both for his
upcoming chemo treatments, which we believe will begin the first part of
May. Nash has really been a trooper, following his now regimented
routine and very strict diet that his wife (myself)
has put him on. Nash's spirits are good and he is enjoying getting back
into some sense of a routine and spending time with his family. As the
Men of #116 may remember Nash spoke of community during your weekend.
Nash and I view this as another community that Christ has decided needs
Nash's membership and we hope to be able to shine Jesus' light to others in
that community. Please
continue to pray for Nash as he enters chemo and know that you are all in our
thoughts and prayers even if we are unable to update you as often as we would
like. In
His Loving Care, Dana

Aaron Stumper submitted February 28, 2008 Prayer Request for my son, Aaron Stumper. He is
experiencing severe depression, is under several Dr's care, and maybe going
into the Mayo Clinic for further testing.
He has gone from 14 credits at ASU West to 9 to try and reduce the stress he has become unable to
handle. Up to now, he has carried 16 credits a semester for the last 2
years, had continued to make Dean's List and was recently accepted
into two Honor Societies. Over the
past several weeks he has crashed and
hit rock bottom. Thanks, De Colores, Jerry Stumper Rich Bestwick submitted April 13, 2008
I brought Rich home yesterday. Praise the Lord!!! He's doing well & VERY happy to be home. We're trying to get into our routine - whatever that may be! His outpatient therapy has not been scheduled yet. They should be calling next week to set things up.
If you send out an update on him, please be sure to say that we thank everyone for all the visits, prayers, cards, palanca, love, hugs, etc., etc.
Love YSIC, Linda & Rich Bestwick Rich Bestwick submitted February 26, 2008 Thanks be to God and thank you
for your prayers. Brother Rich Bestwick is
off the ventilator and out of ICU. He has moved to room #654
(Scottsdale Orborn), for any who wish to have a
short visit with him (about ten minutes is his limit at this time). He
has an irregular heartbeat and they felt that may have contributed to his
fall. He is undergoing a heart cauterization, not catherization,
Friday around 1pm. I spoke with Linda earlier and she sounds like she
is coming down with this dreadful flu. Your prayers have been a great
comfort and encouragement for Rich and Linda. So, continue to pray for
Rich and particularly his surgical team and Linda’s health as they move
forward. I’ll update again following his surgery. YbiC Dale
Anderson Rich Bestwick submitted February 25, 2008 Brother
Rich Bestwick (Redeemer-Wickenburg) fell Friday
(February 22, 2008), while attending team meeting at First Evangelical, and
suffered severe head trauma. He is currently at Scottsdale Osborn
Hospital. His prognosis is unknown at this time, but he is stable.
I just spoke with Linda and she is positive and grateful for the
prayers that this community will be providing on their behalf. Please
pray for Rich and Linda for strength, healing, and trust. I’ll keep you
informed as I’m updated. YbiC Dale
Anderson Roger Collinson submitted
October 30, 2007 Dear
Brothers and Sisters in Christ, I
am asking you to please keep Roger Collinson in
your prayers. He
has been diagnosed with prostate cancer and will be operated on Nov. 20th
at Scottsdale
Shea Hospital. Please
pray that the operation is totally successful, the disease is taken out of
him and he is restored to his normal good
health. That there is no more disease in his body. Please pray
that his blood and spleen are healthy. We
thank our Lord that Roger's PSA is very low at 2.2 and the Gleason
score shows a very slow growing disease. We thank our
Lord that the total bone scan he has had shows no evidence of disease. Roger
attended Cursillo 89. He has been on team
three times since. Thank
you and God's Blessings, Eileen
